3d printing airframe structures??

Hi Guys:
I just read a short article in the April 2012 issue of Model Aviation.
The article is on page 88-89 regarding a fellow in Finland, Toni Palmen,
has just completed a complete an aero-structure for a small 16.0" span, Grumman Hellcat!
The model looks great and not much different than a built up balsa
structure version. Does anyone have more information on this innovative design / construction method?
Sincerely,
