F104 Starfighter slot-jet

Lousy flying weather here... so i'm forced to think up more "impossible" problems for myself!
I have been looking for an idea for my next slot jet, & keep coming back to this bird... F104 Starfighter.
My idea so far is similar to the Mig15 i built: using hi Kv motor & small prop to allow running the prop inside the fuse hight & bracing top/bottom to restore fuse stiffness.
Dimentions so for looks like O/L=1260mm & +-590 W/S. Fuse hight at prop is 115mm which allow sqeezing in a 4.1" apc prop, with only millimeters to spare for the bamboo skewer braces.

Planned power is 3550Kv 450 heli motor & 40amp esc running of a 3c lipo. Basically double the power of the Mig. a F104 is never gonna be a floater, so might as well make it haul!! (H/King claim 500watt on this set-up... but we'll just have to see about that?? previous 200w motor boils at 170w!!)

Planning to split the horisontal fuse-&-wing bit to allow the characteristic F104 anhidaral. Not too sure about the inherent stability/in-stability of this type of wing?
Any comments on that??
Also planning a KFm4 or 2 wing. Missile-with-a-man-in-it was never famous for low speed stability so i recon the more efficient wing might be a good idea...

Any help or "what-were-you-thinking!" comments will be welcome before i cut...

A profile mid motor F-104 is possible. In fact, someone's beat you to it already. Can't remember who, but I have a set of plans on my computer. Unfortunately, I'm on my IPhone. I'll post plans later.

Search on Eliworm in the ScratchBuilt forum. Eliworm posted plans.

Hi ksqm,

Thanx for the info. Will definately look it up. This bird is probably beyond my current piloting skills but will try anyway... The Starfighter is a very famous airy, so if some-one hadn't tried before i would have been gob-smacked. Been looking at an edf 104, but will try profile 1st...
