I'm glad to hear you guys are snapping up the ASW28's since I'm looking at an ASK23 but won't be able to order for awhile.

Yet another video...I hope you guy's don't mind...It's fun to film this bird in flight due to the altitude I can achieve...

This is just not fair on my wallet!

I have the FMS Fox 2.3 which flies great. However, both the ASW 28 and the ASK 23 are calling to me........buy me, buy me......

I may succumb to the calls and add one of them eventually (probably the ASK 23) to my fleet.

Aros, nice video. The picture quality is pretty good, what camera did you use? Do you have a link for it, I may get one for doing exactly what you're doing.

Thanks, Jim

Here's a few photos of this FMS ASW-28. What a beautiful sailplane! I'm looking forward to getting it in the wind tomorrow!

Tip stall

How are the tip stall characteristics? I have a Cularis which loves to tip stall.

Not too bad...I tip stalled her on my first one a couple times but that was more feeling her out than any real bad tendencies. I have yet to tip stall this second one and I already have twice as many flights on it than the first.

Of course any sailplane will tip a wing if you're not careful (such as applying too much rudder in a turn), even these foam versions, but I haven't found the ASW-28 to be especially prone.

Aros,

Thanks for all your nice flying videos. It motivated me to place an order for my ASW-28. Should be here this week.

AROS.

Your description of mounting the wings as a "fairly simple
setup" is a bit of an understatement. I think anyone considering one of these should be made aware that it
requires two plastic mounting plates and eight screws to
attach the wings. The plane is very nice but I would not
have bought it if I had known what a hassle it is to get it ready to fly at the field.
