Maiden for Ian happened. Maybe next time he will remember the ballast!.... He found a small rock landing, and put in a small scuff, I know he is quite peeved about it...

Well the maiden went pretty good, thanks to Warren helping me set up the plane, we did quite a few in flight adjustments, my landing was really good plane floated right in, but then skidded about 3' over a rock, I will get over it but man does that suck getting scuffs and a deep gouge first flight.

Flaps, aileron and elevator in Launch - 15mm for flaps together with ailerons and around 1-2mm of down elevator
Flaps. aileron and elevator in distance - all zero
Flaps, aileron and elevator in duration - plus 3, plus 3, zero
Flaps, aileron and elevator in speed - 0 to minus 1, 0 to minus 1, zero
Any further twecks from these settings Thomas

I had a fly on the weekend.
Where did you guys get your set ups from. 15mm launch flap and ended up with about 4mm down elevator to get her to launch. I converted back to about 15% launch flap and ended up with about 5mm launch flap and zero elevator on launch setting 1 and she screamed up the line and pinged to the moon.
Next weekend I will play some more with CG - tow hook and launch setting 2.

Hey Fly Faster,
I have not had much time working on my settings.
Until last weekend I only had only a couple more flights since April/May
Last weekend I did get to fly her at the USA F3B Team Selections for three whole days of flying fun
I was using Jiri's settings but see some work is needed on my launch set up.
By the end of the contest she was launching better but still not where it should be.
The Fosa Lift has a lot of potential and hope that between now and Christmas will get some more time on her.

I loved the way she flew at the TS and after not flying F3B for 11 years, got a PB in distance (30 laps and the Grand) and a PB in Speed!

Fosa Lift in Tas

Had the chance to check out Mick's Fosa Lift up close and it's solid, light and as strong as my Ceres.

Unfortunately we fly different modes so I didn't bother about asking for a go.

Mick's uses conventional flap horns (like Ceres; with clevis barely broaching the top skin) and RDS for ailerons. Wise move IMHO.

Custom colour scheme proved visible and distinctive.

Thanks Eddy, your the 2nd one to confirm the 121mm
I still have a lot of setting up to do. CG is 102 as a starting point and the tow hook is forward in the slot. Conditions havn't been great for setting up launch. Hopefully I can sort it out this weekend.

Is the standard RDS setup for the flaps only good for around 45-50 degrees of movement? I seem to have a lot of up throw available and was wondering about popping the servo out and rotating the shaft one spline around for more throw, worth the effort or should I just adapt my landing style?

I no longer have mine, but it was getting about 55 degrees of flap (slight additional bend added to the wipers). If it's servo travel you're out of, then definitely rotate one spline tooth.
