400 is a better solution for that.
500 has better result with 10" so with 900-1000kv motors

DialFonzo Vtail with KK2

Hi,

Just received my 500 frame, sexy frame, a big thumbup
Luis asked me to post here for some info,
Like to experiment flying the Vtail with KK 2 board, using Y4 (suggested by Luis) and use custom mix, has anybody tried that? If so, would appreciate some help as to the custom mix settings as a starting point.

Thanks
Eddie

Eddie,

Start on post #785

Some good info on how to mix .. using DJI it uses % ..

Wii also some guys have made custom mix lots of options..( most info follows after that post)

the stock .. Y4 and Vtail will get you in the Air.

It think the very first few pages.. one of the guys is using.. KK board
only option at the time was Y4

..

I've not seen to many guys on this thread using KK

Can you post a screen shot . how KK handles mixing ?
doe it just define % of power to each motor ?

Multirotor Builder!!!!!
I was just going to ask about the micro V-tail. My 500 size still flys perfect to this day. it has probably 30 flights on it.

@Luis,

Thanks for the help, will go through the posts and try to assimilate and catalog all the informations out there, giving me a headache !

Here is a video clip on kk2 that has a part that discribed the custom mix:

Hobbyking's KK2 Control Board: THE WALKTHROUGH (10 min 12 sec)

The Turnigy 2836 1000Kv motor does not fit the arms provided, only solution is to remove the shaft and install an e-clip, removing the colet entirely. Lots of hassle but not impossible. Might end up changing the motors.

Again thanks for the help. Will keep you posted on the progress.
