RCM Plan Service

Has anyone used the RCM Plan Service to get sailplane plans? I ordered a set for the Sagitta 900 a few weeks ago, paid via PayPal, and have yet to receive either the plans or any confirmation that they have the order or when they plan to ship them. Emails to them have gone unanswered as well. Thanks for the feedback.

I have used them before and as I recall, they were quite slow. I think it's just one guy running it, so try to be patient.

Ordered a number of weeks ago and got the plans all right but a bit slow. E-mails where answered and I could log in to my account to see how things where progressing. Shipping to Eu was without any problem.

I ordered those same plans a few years ago. It took almost a month to receive them. Also, the size of features on the plans we not quite right. Notably, the shoulder wing attachment area of the fusalage sides did not match the wing root profile. I'm not sure which profile was off, either the fuse or the wing root. I did manage to build a nice flying Sagitta from the plans.

Thanks for the feedback

Thanks to you all. Guess I just need to be more patient. I do wish they would at least answer their email. And thanks especially for the Sagitta advice. I'll look this over very carefully.

First I would verify the shape of the root rib (airfoil shape is alot more important) then overlay it on the side view of the fusalage. Line up the joiner and incidence holes and adjust the fuse side to match. I wish i had known this before I had the fuse assembled. luckly, I only had to remove stock at the top. The leading edge extended onto the removable canopy so i just shaped it to match.

Finally got the plans

For anyone interested, exactly one month to the day from placing the order I received my plans from the RCM Plan service. They are in great shape, shipped in a tube per my request via priority mail. They never did respond to the two emails I sent concerning shipment, so guess the answer is to just order them and be VERY PATIENT. Would I order from them again? Yeah, guess I would, now that I know how the "game" is played.

Good to know that RCM Plans are still going strong. It's probably one of those deals where the guy waits until he has a few orders, then takes what he has down to Kinkos when he gets a chance to get copies made. It's probably cheaper to get them copied with a larger quantity. That's after he locates all of the plans to be copied, of course. When you think of it like that, a month probably isn't so bad.

RCM Plans

It may be "slow", but worth the wait for Lee Renaud's Sagitta and Aquila plans.
I am thankful for having the plans where I can get them.
I only do kits and scratch building as the building is fun to me.
