Speedo Battery

After trying all types of batteries. Two types have worked out great. I like flying for several hours instead of several minutes. 330 mAh just doesn't do it.

3+1 pack AAA 1000 mAh batteries. With the new VERY heavy tailed fuse, you need 2.5+ oz of lead, which is tough to get in, but possible. Cost for 4 cells is $1.82, but no need for regulator. Add in plugs, wire, shrink, etc and you have about $2.00 per pack.

(2) TR 16340 1000 mAh with 5v voltage regulator Need 3 oz+ of lead, but there's plenty of room in the nose with these. They cost about $1.30 per cell, so you have $2.60 + $8 for voltage regulator. With wire, plug, shrink, etc. you have about $10.78 in the pack.

I made a pack with some 2/3rd AA 900ma cells I had laying around.
It was built with 2 laying end to end to go into the nose, and the other two vertically.
The 2 vertical cells will take up most of the front half of the canopy space.
A 8 gram servo for elevator right behind the battery, then Rx under wing saddle.

Mine balanced perfect with no additional weight!

I like the idea of using usable weight myself.

Do you have the original white fuse, or the very tail heavy grey one?
