New radio to go with FrSky

Hi folks,

I'm after a decent radio in the $5-600 range that can accept my FrSky DJT module and that you don't need to be an Electrical engineer to use.

Any thoughts?

Links to online retailers would be good too!!!

Cheers,

Alan.

I use a JR 9XvII with FrSky Module, it's a very nice radio and can't fault it. I found a second hand one in link below ($400-00 negotiable) with Spektrum and JR modules included. I also did see a new one advertised for $800-00, which is a bit steep considering they have been superseded, I guess you have to pay for that module capability.

The 8FG is a nice radio. I recently had a play with one that a new guy I am teaching bought. I personally use a JR9303 or JR9XII with FrSky Modules. I picked up a very nice condition 9303 from the US for $80

I don't believe the 8FG takes a module, it's a fixed FAAST set. You can pick up a 9c 2nd hand from the US for about $200, or a 10c for $300-$400. Just make sure it's a module based 10c as the later models are non module versions.

I got mine from Ebay, just gota watch out for em. I missed out on a couple as the bid went above where I wanted to pay, seems module radios are very sought after. I ended up paying $300-00 for a JR9XvII with a 36mhz module.

The DSX9 is a nice radio but personally I would rather go with something I can stick an FrSky module in. Better option for RX's.

That's what I'm asking here, if the DSX9 can accept a FrSky module. The rear photo in the manual shows a module that looks like it will fit. I don't want to buy it interstate then have it show up and not being able to fit one.

I'll see if I can get the photo.
