h00t - I would recommend HS65mg servos or similar for now - We have been testing lots of servos and are finding that the digital servos jitter a little. Up til now we have been using Savox and had good results if everything was tight - Since trying the analog hitec we are using them instead -

alrighty, so I got my kit in and built it for the most part. i grabbed some spare eflite servos i had lying around. these should hold me over until my other servos ship in.

It may not be the right place to ask, but I cant seem to find anything on how to setup the gimbals. I have everything plugged in, used the NAZA assistant software to enable the gimbals and can't get any movement on the servos. Any Ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

so i got the servos working sort of. I had to use extensions because the wire leads from the servo were too short. servos only work after powering up the quad in this order:

1) turn on TX
2) power quad
3) unplug gimbal servos (either from extension or NAZA)

any ideas?

Put down the f550 / wkm for a min and started to tune the naza and x468 gimbal. Still really windy up here as you can tell, so couldn't get her where I wanted.. Gives you an idea of what the setup can do...

I have to say at this atltitude on 3s and graupner 10x5 props I have no lift vs DJI 10". So I ordered some 4s 2650's and I will be fine.

Does anyone run a heavier camera besides a GoPro on the Flame Gear XT mount? I'm wondering how it would handle something like the Sony HDR-PJ710V, which is 670 grams with the battery. I think a GoPro is around 190 with the plastic case installed.

The gimbal looks like it could handle the rough movements well, with the Sony HDR-PJ710V balanced optical steadyshot taking care of the rest...but I don't know if these servos you guys are using are able to handle the bigger weight of these types of cameras?

I also run an NEX 5N on mine - But since I only have 10 flights on this bird I like to give it a little break in time before I go to my good camera - I will try to get some footage this week from my new hex since I am starting to trust it more and more.

Looks like I'm going to build one of these to go under on OMGfly hex

I have little experience with the naza.....

With this gimbal and the naza which servos are best suited..... $ basically isn't an issue.

Does the naza/gimbal combo like analog or digital?

Also is there a way to shoot straight down with this gimbal?

Thanks guys ( oh and I think I'm going to pm you about the traveler kit as well )

I have tried a lot of servos, analog and digital..I have found it likes the Savox 0262. Still trying to tune the gains but for the last month we have had steady 10-15 mph winds from 8am on

I did get my 4s packs a boy what a diff with the graupner 10x5.. So I should be able to get some more videos a day or two if the wind and time allows...

Hey Adidas - This setup/NAZA likes Analog and the best I have used are the Hitec HS65MG servos - You would need to set the gimbal at about a 45 deg angle in order to get it straight down with a switch - I wish the NAZA would give you more control over the camera tilt angle - It is very limiting -

Yeah all DJI gimbal controls are limited to 90*

Have you tried a servo stretcher?

I know we lose resolution, but you gain travel
