Help!

1.3Ghz video transmitter issue

After dozen of flights, my 1.3Ghz 300mW video transmitter has an issue. When it gets hot, It can not start. I am unable to make it work until it's cool.
Does everyone have this issue? How to solve it?
Thanks.

Out of the way, Peck!
Stick some of these on the case of your Video TX and that will keep it cool...i even use a 25mm computer fan mounted over the heat sinks to keep air flowing over them in case i crash, so i still have video.

Just ordered some 25mm computer fans, aluminum cooler heat sinks from ebay and planning to get a new Vtx for backup.
Thanks

I've seen the same problem with my 300mW 1.3Ghz Tx, but it's not so much
about being hot, but simply having been on recently. I've de-powered,
let it cool or a while, and still had problems getting a signal lock. I get the impression that
it's drifting off frequency and the Rx's PLL circuit can't quite find it. I seem
to recall having some success repowering or changing the channel on the Rx.

I am going to buy this 1.3GHz 800mW FPV video transmitter fromRangeVideo for replacement of my old unstable 1.3Ghz 300mW vTx.
Does everyone use it before? Is it a good choice?
Thanks

Yes, that's a newer version of the tried and true Sunsky FOX800.
Note that while it's rated for 800mW, it really puts out about 600mW at
12V on 1280Mhz, which is *more* than enough for flights out over 10km.

I just received my new 1.3ghz 800mW video tx from rangevideo today after one month waiting. The shipping cost is $20, it is crazy.
My old 1.3ghz 300mW is no longer working. The frequency have never been locked any more.
For now, when I touch the solder lead on the PCB, the frequency will drift to the near of last channel (about 1360Mhz) and the images can be seen on the screen but It is still not locked.
