Blue Angels In Flight Video

I looked around the site and thought this would be the best place to post this link. If I posted in the wrong forum, please advise and I will move it.

Thought some of you might enjoy watching this video. Click on the link below and watch some really amazing video.

This really gives a Backseater's view of how tightly the Blues fly! -

Listen for the power coming off on the backside of the loop at 2:07. Watch for the yo-yo'ing in-and-out at 3:35 to 3:45.....and note just how hard these guys have to WORK at "Looking Good", especially when shifting from Trail to the Diamond at 5:08 to 5:20, and again all during the Line Abreast Loop: up-an-down-and out-then-in....

Also, for those who've been there, note the Sierra-Hotel, low-level, high-G turn over Halligan Hall & the cemetery at 8:35, plus the neat fly-by of the Academy at 9:20 to 9:30....

I agree about the lucky dog in the back seat. It is really interesting to see that they have the flaps down about 10-15 degrees during most of the flight. It seems as though they also have some leading edge flap deployed during parts of the flight. Also, if you look at the ailerons of the F-18 off to the right, shortly after take off and during parts of the flight it seems as though they have some reflex (aileron deflected slightly up) when you look at the missile rail on the wing tip. Maybe they don't have any reflex and it is just the missile rail at an angle other than zero degrees from the horizontal.

Nice. I don't know that i would have the guts to climb in there and do this. I have never liked any kind of motion, since i was a little kid. That's why i fly RC instead of the real thing. Sad but true. This pilots eye view is indeed impressive.

Members of the media, Celebrities and Corporate CEOs get to ride in the 7 jet. Us common folk get to watch from the ground...... just like RC. The reason they do back seat rides is to sell the Navy. They get free advertising from the media, they use celebrities for promo material and the get CEOs to hire Navy trained people.
