Earl,

When someone describes something as new and I buy it, regardless of the price, it had better be new. Granted, $100 would have been a great deal on a new or even slightly used Enya 90, but this one was far from either and was going to need a bunch of time and money in gaskets, bearings and who knows what else once I got into it.

Good reading...

Just like to keep this at the top.... I've learned a lesson (unfortunately, thanks to all you). From now on I'll do a search of the username of each person I buy from, in the hopes I find a thread like this to stop me before its too late.

Although this case may be old news to some of you, it is new to me.... this is why some people get fooled everyday, so don't be suprised to hear another one bit the dust.

Thanks guys.

He has not agreed to my request for notification if my original money order isn't received by tomorrow as of this writing. He has replied to my PM's though. I have no proof at this point that my money order has or has not been received by Mr. Kim. I still will say I give him the benefit of the doubt until I discover otherwise.
So you sent TWO money orders???
How much money?

Yes!

Can be much less time consuming and far less painful then the ol' "I'll Take it."

The other lesson is to do what ever it takes to make good on any deal you make. Good reputations take a long to time to build and can be torn down overnight. Mr. Kim is a good example of this. He had a good record going back a long ways and now ... well you be the judge for yourself after reading the feedback and posts.

Paypal is basically a fund transfer mechanism. They are not an arbiter of dispute between traders.

It is frustrating when Paypal turns down a legitimate claim.

When you deal with a bad seller, you are on your own. There is always a risk when you buy a thing without seeing it with your own eyes.

A post made by Mr Kim yesterday on a ”PayPal s**ks" thread. Incredible, no? Just incredible.

Mr. Kim sent out a priority parcel, insured, the day after I posted a paypal payment to him. I am running a trace on the first payment. As of this morning the money order has not been cashed. A trace can take up to six weeks. The package should be here in the morning. I have had very good luck with PayPal in dealing with disputes. I keep all my correspondence, and send them copies. Never had an issues getting my money back on a deal gone bad.
