# what size brushed motors are these

I want to use motors from a Double Horse (SYMA) Super Sonic RC airplane but need to know what size the brushed motors are.

Will a Playmate ESC be able to run both motors and servos even though the motors are designed to run on 4.8 volt and the playmate runs on a 3.7 volt

Please let me know if this will work or do just test it out to see if it will?

Dave

The markings on the motors are as follows

OT-9399
11-03-22

need to know the size and volt rating etc.

NOTE the can is not round it is oblong at the widest diameter 1/2inches or 9.5250mm

motor can 3/8 inches x 1/2 inches or 9.5250 millimeters x 12.7000 millimeters driven by 4.8 volt ni cad battery
This plane has two of these motors

Question:
Can a 3.7 lipo operate the planes two motors designed for this 4.8 nicad with the actual ESC that came out of the plane with the 3.7lipo that was designed operate one motor can this set up operate the two motors correctly?

# Want to know how much thrust these motors have

I Want to know how much thrust each of these motors have approximately or how fugue it out with a formula

NOTE:

motor can 3/8 inches x 1/2 inches or 9.5250 millimeters x 12.7000 millimeters driven by 4.8 volt 4s nicad battery pack

Thanks Dave

I have two different size one 4 1/2 in and the other 2 3/4 in props

the plane came with the 2.75 in props but the 4.5 fit the motor shaft also

Mar 30, 2012, 08:20 PM Jack Is there a second number on the props too? To look them up you would need a diameter and a pitch. I looked here in the flybrushless.com prop database and that are no 2.75 inch props, there is a 3 x 3, you can see that here: GWS HD 3x3 - http://www.flybrushless.com/prop/view/4 You can browse the Find a Prop list there for 4.5" props too, as you can see you need to have an idea as to the RPM in order to get the thrust for a particular setup. The systems like the one you have there don't really lend themselves to figuring these kinds of things out. I can understand your interest in trying to get some use out of it though. Good luck with it! Jack
