My 450 motor blew up - well not quite

Actually what happen was I bumped the throttle and bang the shaft snapped where the C-clip goes [ guess its a weak spot ] when the motor suddenly powered up (must be a good motor)

Motor was a 2832 , and no 2832 shafts to be found on Ebay ..

Took a punt on some 2830 shafts that were about 2mm shorter .

Long story short , shafts came today , took all of 5 minutes to have the motor back together again

Moral of the story , use the throttle lock out ...

might be a fluke but i would not trust a morot like that.

now if you go from normal to idle up (on my heli 50-60% throttle to 80) will that effect the motor? it definetely should not.

I bumped the throttle from 0 or standing start to full [ obviously no soft start ] , and full throttle is 80% on mine .. [ set at the transmitter ]

So 0 to 80% with everything stationary ... , the main gear [ main cog ] took a beating [ but I had a spare ] ....

Motor ran fine , this was 100% user error ...
