Dostacos

I am running 2, 1700 mah, 5cell, 6Volt, NiMH battery packs. That gives me 3.4ah, at 6Volts. Approx 45 min. to an hour, at full throttle. I find the boat runs great at 10 to 25% throttle. Full throttle would only be used for pushing. CB

Ran boat again today

Today was one of our club run days. I had the boat on the water about 1 1/2 hrs., just ran it around and did a couple of dead boat recoveries. Let some of the other club members run it. It seems to do everything I was hoping, and then some! Between today, and the INS Regatta, I am very pleased with how the boat has come out. Charlie

Battery Life

I charged my batteries back up, and my guess is, they were only 35-50% run down, after all that playing. Granted, the boat was not being used hard, except for my rescues, but, I think that is pretty good battery life, since I am using a Speed 400 motor. Continued running will tell, but I am happy at this point! How are the rest of you doing? Charlie

Anybody establish a waterline for this TTB?

been too busy to get one established and back in the water for some domestic tank testing. Make it as deep or shallow as you want to really. Make a: high water mark, tropical mark, summer/winter mark, and salt water mark. Can have variouse markings with no set waterline that way......

Truckable Waterline

Pat, I am running mine with the bottom of the push knees, just in the water, and at the stearn, a minimum of halfway up the transom. Mine sits deeper than that at the transom. Look at the photo's of mine at Riverside, it was at, where I am planning on running it. The bottom of the rubber, is approx. 3/8'' to 1/2'' out of the water, depending on running conditions. Weight is 3.75lbs. Charlie

Continued test running

I ran the boat again Sunday, at our club run. I think the ElectriFly T-400 motor, and the 3 to 1 gearing, is the right combination. Even with only the two 1700 NiMH battery packs, I was sill running strong, when I pulled the boat out, to go home. Charlie
