Ball in swash mod

What do I do with the plastic or rubber sleeve after I install the ball in swash? Do I get rid of it alltogether? Do I cut it down?

If you don't have the mast collar yet, recut it to length to keep the main gear in place vertically. If you have the collar then throw the tubing away.

Collar is the way to go huh? Can i source this locally or do I need to order one? Is there a wheel collor that would work or something? I noticed I have play in my mast, it goes up and down some....

Wheel collars work for some, but the correct mast collar has a ridge machined on the bottom to interface with only the inner race of the upper ball bearing. Under $10.00 at most online shops.

I ordered one from Helihobby. I put everything back together and I don't have much control. I think maybe I didn't cut the sleeve down enough? Everything at the top seems a bit squished, but my main mast is still going up and down too with all the control movements...
