Krick 1/4 Grunau Baby

See a video of a naked model. For free!

But you will have to put up with dodgy narrative.....

Designing something...
Very nice work. I've got one of these in a box. I really should build it some day.

Hi Brian

It did test my mojo at times over the last 6 months. I seemed to work on it in bursts and it didn't help that my workshop was too cold to work in for about 7 weeks at winter.

But I'm glad that I stuck at it, so all I can say is make a start and don't pressure yourself with a tough deadline.

Good luck!

No longer naked. I decided to cover her up.

I've used Solartex "natural", thinking that I might get away without paint, but it (ahem) clearly needs some.

Is there any way to seal the tex and add some tone without using paint?

Or should I just bite the bullet and get on with it. Suggestions on a postcard please.....

The natural Solartex is sealed...it needs no further finish, but for looks a coat of clear (rattle-can) spray would work fine. Then why not paint the sheeted areas, and leave the open framework unpainted? Then you get this look.

That is beautiful Dave and I will be quite happy if I can match that.

I guess you are right, paint it is. I was just trying to be a lttle lazy and also it may be some time before I can do any spraying - we have snow here right now.

I got a nudge from a friend about a part 2 video, so here you go.....

It's taken a while for the sun to come out in the UK so that I could get the spraying done.

Looks fantastic!

I have been very tempted by one of these myself - just need to find a kit...

By the way, where is the site? Looks lovely.

The site is the NW corner overlooking Hells Mouth on Myndd Cilan, Lleyn peninsula, North Wales. It is National Trust land with good access.
