A semi grand opening,,,,part deux

The other day I wrote a thread concerning an airfield with runways,,,work & bind benches,,,,not all that far from you.

It has been closed the past two years but this year,,,,it will reopen.

If a drive to the G.W. BRIDGE,,is not too far,,,you might consider Teaneck....
When you get off the bridge in new jersey,it's the very first exit (70 ) make a left turn,go across route 80,and it's maybe a quarter mile,,,near the microwave tower,,,,,

I think you could easily make it in half hour from white plains

Anyway,,trying to give options,,and info to you....good luck

My thread is still on page 1......

Club in New Canaan, CT

There is a club that flies not far from you in my home town of New Canaan, CT.

They fly Sunday AM at 9:00AM I believe at Waveny Park. You need to join AMA to fly there (s you do at most organized places for insurance reason).

Hello Neighbor !!.

I live in the lower Westchester NY area and I am into helicopters. First of all what type of helicopter are you flying ? Thus far I am only flying smaller stuff and I generally fly out of open fields (baseball fields, park fields, etc. that are not in use) and sometimes I practice hovering and slow low altitude flight in my back yard.

But if you are flying bigger stuff you might want to fly out of an approved club site as lower Westchester is a high population density area.

I might suggest the MAAW's club located in Westchester. I mostly see them flying planks but helicopters may also be welcome. Link below.

What are you flying? I fly foamy jets and up to 500 sized helicotpers at local schools when no activities are taking place (I'm in the same area).

I checked local codes and it seems in county parks, no RC is allowed. I believe town parks have different codes.
