Last night's Big Bang episode!

But wasn't last night's show preempted by the March Madness games?

My youngest son graduated last spring with a degree in computers. He has always loved agriculture and the farming business so I was really pleased when he landed a job with the city as an Irrigation Tech. 4000 acres of Coastal irrigated with treated city waste water. Maybe in a couple more years with a little more experience he'll be able to get a place(farm) of his own. That's his, and our's, dream.
For now he rents an apartment in the good (safe?) part of town.
That's what I thought.

Contrary to what some here might think and tell you, it is entirely possible to lean a little left and still not be a "Wild eyed commie pinko tree hugging socialist God hating Liberal after your guns". Or, in other words, I kinda like my guns. I do believe in strict gun control, not by the government, but by you, the owners, personal! I call myself "Ol dead eye" because my eyes are literally that, dead. I doubt I'll ever squeeze a trigger again. I owe that to you and my family.

Last night my son gets home, opens a beer (he's legal age), and sit's down in front of his TV to do a little 'chillin.
Kaaa-Boom, his front window breaks, he manages to peer outside just in time to see some guys in the apt across the way with a rifle and a big box load up in their car and leave. When the police arrive they go to that apt and though no one's home, they find the door (with a bullet hole in it) unlocked. I guess that gave probable cause to enter. Inside they find a partial box of .270 rounds and the odor of pot.
Trajectory shows the bullet passed through the door, ricocheted off a hinge plate somewhere outside and two frags went inside my sons place.
I guess those guys are on the lamb right now but they'll soon be caught.

Some questions.
Do you like guns? I do!
Are they loaded? I have one loaded weapon, kept in a secure place, (I'll let you guess where! )
Are your guns secured against theft? Mine are all locked up (except).
Wheres the ammo? Mine is separate and secured.
Would you trade/sell a gun to just anyone?
Do you have kids? Grandkids?

Cars, guns, beer, pot. That's up to you. Just remember, they don't mix well.
This was my son and I thank God the ricochet went as it did!
So many lives, Mine included (not an idle threat), could have been destroyed.

I apologize ahead of time for the rambling nature of this post. I'm sure yall understand.

Heh thats nothing they pre-empted Limbaugh for colledge basketball. I will bet there are some ready to shoot up the joint!

Anyhow glad to hear he is okay. You hear about an innocent bystander catching a stray round now and then and its always sad.

Dusty, That's terrible. Thank goodness no one was hurt, or worse. I take very seriously the negligent discharge of a firearm. Those guys should be facing time when caught, IMO.

I'll answer your questions:

Some questions.
Do you like guns? Yes!
Are they loaded? There's only one way for someone to find out.
Are your guns secured against theft? Yes, I have a nice safe.
Wheres the ammo? I have a locker for ammo, and another for components.
Would you trade/sell a gun to just anyone? My policy is that once I own one, it stays in the family.
Do you have kids? Yes, they all shoot, even my Daughter.
Grandkids? Lord, I hope not! I'm not ready yet!

LOL.

I've often heard it said here ... It's my God given right to hunt.

I don't argue, as I tend to agree.

Just a guess Kenny, but I'd say that he thinks the post where you disparaged his home state was asinine. But like I said, just a guess.

Okay I get it now.
I certainly didn't intend to disparage the great State of Texas.

Many years ago, when I was living in the projects, I was taking out the trash one night when I hear "Ptang!!!".

After cleaning my shorts I looked over at where the noise came from and a large LP gas bottle next to the trash dump had a nice fresh dent where the bullet had been seconds earlier. I guess it hit the side of the bottle and deflected. Lucky me.

The state? Florida

Oh well so much for that argument.
