Ed :

The intake is ~64mm wide (curved fuselage) / 70mm high while lip thickness is 7-8mm.
For the HW609 I have used 53x30mm per intake on my E-Bandit / exhaust 60mm.

Ralf - the paints are great thank you Now I hope I can spend some time on the weathering details. No flying for a little while now due to more snow.

Henke, I measured mine to 135km/h on a partial throttle flyby. Should hit 160 easy at full power.

Looks real good H Panther panting seems to be real heavy on this thread.

After seeing the videos of Gregg and your Panthers I understand why they will be very popular.

Can't wait to see all the final detailing.

I ran up a 9s2p today. Wow!
I took the pack out of the El Bandito after testing that set up. I doubt i'll use it since the Panther is overpowered anyway. But it was fun to hear the Midi fan sing.

Gregg,
What is the powerplant you put in your Panther and what is the best battery combination? since I'm getting ready to set up mine!
Thanks,
Ed

My current and final set up is;
mega 30/3
midi fan
h/m 77 controller (or you can save $30.00 and use the Jetti Advance)
TP 8s2p 3800's (cost $330)
40a @ 1170w
230w per lb
I mostly fly around 1/2 throttle or less.
I guarrantee you won't be disappointed with this set up.

On your grass field it might rog without gear

Hi

Sorry ducted fan noob here but some 1 gave me this plane
Was just wondering how u make or where to buy the tubing behind the ducted fan??

Would any 1 here think a 3s2p setup on 60 amps will be enough to power this plane??

About what would be the amp draw of a mega 22/20/2 on a 3s pack on a wemotec midi 90mm fan?

Thanks so much
ZY

Hi, ZY! That Panther is an awesome kit.

For the exhaust tube, you can roll one from paer board (manila file folder weight) or 5 to 10 mil thick mylar (polyester) film material. Use the Midi fan shroud as guide on one end and any round object (tin can?) of about 3.25in diameter at the eother end.

For power set-up, see gregg F's post #141 above or search the forum, there is a lot of info for the Midi in this & other threads (Bob-e-cat, EJF18, F16 etc). Keep asking here if whenever you have more questions.

Cheers,

Phil

The Panther will fly fine on 600W and up, anything that will produce this amount of power will work. 800W is optimum IMO.
