Turnigy or Turnigy Nanotech

I am looking for some help from people who have experience with both and can tell me which ones are better.

I am getting a used Trex 500 heli and am looking for a 2650 6S battery. I have seen some bad reviews lately on the nanotech line of batts. What are your thoughts and experiences with both?

Thanks for any help

For what it's worth. I have 8 or 9 Turnigy that are all 6S 4000-5800 that are about 18 months old and are still good as new. I have 2 3S 6000 Nanos used in series that are less than a year old and are on their way out. Could be a bad batch. I only have these 2 and have heard some good and some bad about the Nanos. Do a search for more info.

Turnigy is a brand name and just with their ESC, you can see..... they come from different plants
The 30C and 40C packs of Turnigy (regular ones) are very good.

The 370mAh Nano are great, but the 2200 25C Nano are compared to the GensAce 2200 25C not so good. They have double IR compared to GensAce

At our club one guy (also heli flyer) with Nano and heli did puff his pack. But he always kept them charged...does not set them at storage if he does not fly.

My first choice of packs is GensAce now, but if I would purchase again Turnigy, most likely the regular 30C or 40C packs instead of Nano.

example:
Turnigy 40-50 1800mAh has IR of 21mOhm (at storage level in my hangar)
Nano 25C 2200mAh has IR of 44mOhm (at storage leven in my hangar)

my 2cent

Thank you both for that info. That seems to be the same as what I have been reading, and I think I will just order the regular Turnigy. It is a 6S 2650mah 30C

I've been using both brands for well over a year now and i'm more than happy with both, but if i need a higher c rating i go for the Nanos every time but if not i stick with the Turnigy, but it's down to what you want out of your batteries i guess.

TreeDriver, you can't blame the battery if your club mate didn't store his Nanos and just left them on a full charge and expected them to be fine, you should have a quite word with him as you know it's not only silly to leave your batteries fully charged but can be dangerous too.

Sorry i didn't mean to say you can't blame the batteries as you don't.

Plus i have been using GA as well as other higher priced brands of lipos and i always pick my Nanos and Turnigy batteries when i go flying,as i find them to be the best out of all the brands i use.

My first choice is always Nano &Turnigy.
