Looking for radio suggestions for this plane...

I am looking at the 5 Channel AirField RC 55" Sky Trainer.

I would like a 6 ch tx that is inexpensive and that I can use with other planes. I would need one that can hook up via buddy cord, and would like one that I don't have to hook to a pc to change servo settings.

Thanks....

Yikes! I need Cheep! I was thinking around $50?? is it possible? I know HK has a few 6ch tx for under $30, but I really don't know much about them. <<---n00b

If spending $60 and buying from HK just go for the Turnigy x9.

I'm not really looking for another TX but at sub $100 for a 9 channel, I've gone ahead and ordered one.

Tower has the Tactics for $99, 6ch, no servos, no battery. It comes with a battery harness
and rec. The rec's are $29 or two for $57. The only problem is, they only interface with
another Tactic for trainer mode. You can get a 4ch for $79. If you figure the rec at $29,
the trainer box is only $40. When the cords are from $8 to $40, not that bad a deal.

The trainer interface is wireless. The transmitters are programmable, to some degree.
V-tail, aileron mixing,

The only down thing we have found is that the trim, digital, resets itself
every time you turn the power off. So you need to adjust the plane real
close or write down the setting on the plane. No big deal, but something
else that could go wrong.

Brad is going to put a sticker on the bottom of the wing, center, wtih
the servo directions and trim settings. We are going to have four planes
with one transmitter. We hope.......

I know this is more $$ than you were looking at, put bang for bucks, not bad.

All our FM stuff is now in boats BTW. Both fields here are 2.4 only now.

I really like the Turnigy, but it won't be in stock for 2-3 weeks...
Can anyone suggest one like the Turnigy x9?
