You know you are an RC veteran when...

You no longer run around the house making airplane noises with your latest build.

I just realized that most of mine are too big to do that now...sad.

LOL..

When you have to find larger boxes for your spare wheels, servos and motors.

Your not sure which unbuilt planes are in the closet.

Your planes are having birthdays.

When you throw away stuff you would have dug out of the trash can at the field back in the early days.

When you can remember when your radios battery meter had a needle.

You can remember when it was the odd ball who showed up at the field with an ARF.

Brad can remember when he had to set up the antenna for the transmitter and then
wait for the tubes to warm up. 1955!

You have models that are older than you were when you got your first model.

Hey now,
Ok I'll play. When half your models are older than your teen age kids.
...when you still miss the smell of Ambroid and Aerogloss.
When you dig through the old servo box and find a few that are not only "male" pin outs but are also "reverse" servos.
I've got more but I should let somebody else play...

When youngsters think you build your own planes because you do not have enough money to buy ARF. When youngsters think you are a beginner when you are just cruising around not trying to perform every thing you can all the time.
Two rookies have said me during the year, with honestly amazed face "You managed to land!" Pretty competetive minded, this proud young genearation. If you are not showing off all the time, you are a loser for them.

It's a really big number.
You're a veteran when...

...you centre your controls without using sub-trim on the transmitter.
...you know how to do a snap roll without using the switch on the transmitter.
...you know how to set up control throws without using ATV / Travel adjust on the transmitter.

(anyone notice a theme here? )

You have to decide which planes to take to the field

When the club president is the adult son of your old flying buddy -- and you were flying with that buddy long before the son was born. In fact, you were both club instructors well before the kid was hatched!
