# At what voltage should my low voltage alarm sound?

I Just built myself a loud low voltage alarm/buzzer for my use on my quad. It measures the total voltage coming out of the battery.

I was just wondering at what voltage should I have it trigger at for a healthful battery life?

The battery will always be a 3 cell, 2.2Ah LiPo.

I usually stop between 3.6 and 3.8 volts a cell, which is between 10.8 and 11.4 volts.
 Mar 11, 2012, 10:18 PM Suspended Account For longevity, they say you should retain 20% of the cell A capacity. I find that 20% of the cell capacity is left at around 3.76v, so I set my Lvc to 3.80v. If you were to set your Lvc to around 3.70v, you would find the cells would have a resting voltage of around 3.72-3.75v which is under the 20% rule.
 Mar 12, 2012, 03:10 PM Registered User Also agree. I run 3S and alarm at 3.7V each cell, 11.1V total. If I don't set down fairly quickly, drawing about 10A on a 2200 mA battery, control becomes erratic. Jim

 Mar 12, 2012, 04:07 PM Registered User I set mine on 3.5 that's because you have some voltage drop, my alarm kicks if one of the cell reachs 3.5v, but when I go to the charger shows 3.75, because the voltage normalize.
