Turnigy XK motors not Leopards?

Good comparison break down on the Turnigy XK motors vs Leopards. They are not the same. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10994002/tm.htm

It's interesting that the one in the OSE link is a slotted stator, but the one on RCU wasn't.

^^ That's a 4082 though, not a 3674. Can't really say for sure unless someone takes a 3674 B apart. I've got a 2850 B 4400kv, but I'm not sure how to easily take it apart, it looks press fit.

I have one on it's way, currently waiting for me to pick it up at the 'post office'.
See:https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...7&postcount=23

If opening it is easy, I'll do so and take some pictures.

Regards, Jan.

Picture of XK 3674-B-1900

As promised a picture of the internals of the motor:

Opening was easy, as the rear shield is held by three screws, once they were out, a gentle tap on the shaft popped it off.
The rotor consists of four segments, glued in place and secured with carbon, the stator is indeed segmented.

Well look at that! Makes me more upset that I can't find pinion gears for my little 2850B

Anyone have a lathe and a 4mm drill bit? Want to bore out a couple pinions for me??

This is a picture of the 3674 2.5D Leo:

This operation was done to replace the bearings by BOCA ceramics.
