worked a little better for me, somehow

Awesome video, and what an advertisement. I loved the lightning and the rainbow! This makes me all the more jealous to be living here in Connecticut where the only sloping is during winter Northwest winds at the shoreline. Brrrrr!

Great video!

Just FYI, the link at the top of the thread works but the link off https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/inde...topic=air-sail
does not.

The only problem I had with the video was that it made me bummed that I live in the flatlands of Illinois.

The sound of some of those planes zipping by is intoxicating. I loved it.

MItch... go find you a nice pointy Dam and wait for some wind, heck find several and then you can fly almost every day. I found several here in Texas, where it dont get any flatter.... lots of Good energy, the pointier it is, the better. i.e: narrow at the top.

I don't know about Texas or Illinois, but here in the Connecticut the sloping is generally lousy. The wind is gusty, there are trees everywhere to disturb a nice smooth airflow, and when it is windy it is darn cold!

(today it is blowing 15-25 out of the NW - perfect sloping conditions except it is 40 degrees outside. Wind chill?)

Well,

if you find a damn, and fly when the wind is coming off the water, it will be smoothe.. or smoother at least... Also, when you fly on the backside, you can stand where you arent in the wind

Actually, we have a decent slope site nearby at an old landfill. But, that mountain and oceanside sloping in the video is just spectacular and makes me envious.

Yea, I know what you mean,

Ive been out to SoCal, I flew parker and DS-ed the South Ridge at Torrie Pines. Let me tell you, when you find the right place, it will be just as fun as if you were there. In fact, Ive had more fun at the local dam DS-ing than I had at either Torri or Parker. BUt Parker was INSANE BIG. No you wont set a speed record at a dam, but you can sure blow your own mind.
