OMG, that sounds awesome, let me hunt thru my attic!

Wow, those wings look stubby by today's standards. Pretty close to the scale planform, though.

So, any idea who the folks in the photo are? Looks like that might be Rick Moreland in the upper right (red/white airplane). And where were the Nats held in '77? I know '76 was Dayton; that was my first Nats. I was 20. No white-bell bottoms, though.

Wow, DHG, those must have been exciting times!

The '77 Nats were held at March AFB according to the above link. I'm curious -- how did you do at the '76 Nats, and any others? Have any pictures to share?

Upper right is Dave Shadel, kneeling are Smith boys and upper left looks like Jeff Carpenter.

Almost right Dave...the guy on the upper left is Laird Owens. His mom made the original "Team Samurai" shirts.

Thanks Gary, Jeff Carpenter was kind of a guess although it looks like him. I wish I had my old Samurai shirts Jimmy gave me but would need to loose about 50lbs to where them.

Dave, are you going to come up to the Basin this weekend?
