Old Gentle Lady kit vs new- similar quality/fit?

I have an old Gentle Lady kit that has been sitting around unopened for the last 10 years and I'm wondering if the currently marketed GL kits are better in any way? Just wondering if anyone has built both kits and can tell me if there are any design, quality or fit differences?

I doubt there have been any changes made to the GL since the first kit was die-crunched.

The newest kits offered by Goldberg are laser cut which are much more accurate than the older methods of kit production. With that said, many GLs were put together under the old method of kit production with great success. I am sure tou will be satisfied with the results from your 10 year old kit.

Build the one you have :-)

Gentle Ladys have been around a long time good reasons. They fly well!
Go ahead and build the original. The lazer cut ones are nice but not perfect.
Look for mods if you like. There are some simple ones worth doing.
Especially in strengthening the spar. I would increase the nose length an inch.
Really work at keeping the tail light. Do a search for "Gentle Lady Mods" and plenty comes up.
use as little of the metal rod in the tail as you can get away with (its heavy).

Build it ,you will love it.Even as you move on to more advanced sail planes you will always want a GL to fly.
