Zephyr II setup questions

Howdy!

For my new zephyr i have:

Hacker A30-10L
Esc 60A http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=10942

9x5 and 10x6 Aeronaut folding camcarbon props, for testing not sure wich to use

But now after doing some reading i begin to think that the amp draw with the 10x6 might be to high for the 60A esc, but it does 70A burts......

Also i have Hitec HS-485HB, will they hold up or should i go for metal gear?

Anyone that has used this motor propcombo that has some figures on amp draw?

Edit: an yes...on 4 cells

good choice on the motor- but the esc is the weak link at the moment. it is likely to fry if you go 10x6 on 4s and use a lot of throttle. you may get lucky but the QC on HK stuff would be minimal and it may bring her down.

as for the servos, MG are always better, but they should be fine. just dont crash or you may need to dig them out.

if you use the 9x5 you will be a lot safer and will not fry the esc.

good luck.

Hrm...any idea how much amps it will pull with the 10x6?

im not worried about how many amps the esc is rated for, im worried about the brand. it could be rated to 1000A but it is still HK.

go with a better brand and you will PROBABLY have a more reliable product.

don't get me wrong i use HK esc's too on some stuff, just know the risks.

this one will kick ass all day

True, but hey!!....arent most electronics made in china.

But still you got me thinking, im going to use this ZII together with APM autopilot for photogrammetry, i hate to loose it.....

All of my other hk esc has been reliable, but you newer know.

I would still like to know about the amp draw..

jolly the point of buying good gear from a good shop is you get warranty. ebay sellers are not likely to accept a burnt part and give you another one free in 6 months....

so i would always advise going to a good shop if you can afford it. if not there is ebay

as i am in australia ebay almost always wins because postage is so bad.
