Link 1 - absolutely - and there's a difference between 'unethical' and being a hood (ref 1 above0

Link 2 - depends, but generally it's probably right - most folks do not understand bears, they just fear them!

I think the first article parallels classic narcissism.

On the bears, science is in, bear spray.... no brainer.

I think you're trying to say that bear spray is the best way to deal with unethical upper class people?

I would love to see a peer reviewed research effort comparing the number of unethical behaviors between those on welfare and those who pay for it.

It would tell you nothing - statistics can be (are..) weighted to suit those invoking the stats!

Link 1 has thread already... and progressives sell utopianism, consistently puts more power in the hands of the same folks… If only they could tweak it a bit more, steal more liberty… we would not have these problems.

Link 2, after weeding through the BS… we find the real agenda…

Quote:
Smith and his co-authors write that using firearms in bear encounters is difficult even for experts due to the need for split-second deployment and deadly accuracy. People should carefully consider their ability to be accurate under duress before carrying a firearm for protection from bears, they write.

"People should consider carrying a non-lethal deterrent such as bear spray," said Smith, a gun owner himself. "It's much easier to deploy, it's less cumbersome and its success rate in these situations is higher than guns."
No Stats to back up claim #2 in bold….

End point... talk.

Continued agenda...

As a matter of fact, a full 25 percent of all violent crime in the U.S. occurs in the Brady’s top four states with the most severe firearms restrictions. Of course the Brady bunch and its political allies argue that the tight restrictions are a response to the high crime, but most of the restrictions have been in place for years, if not decades, and they have proven to be completely ineffective at reducing criminal violence
Look closely at the Brady study... the colors they used for the highest "Brady score" ... its called propaganda.
http://www.bradycampaign.org/stategunlaws/scorecard/

Low score is Liberty, and high score is BS... but look at the color choice.
