Format

We are planning on seeded mom with assigned timers on Saturday, open winch honors callup on sunday.
Assigned timers is the best way to ensure the conest moves in a brisk pace, it works like this:
Group 3 winch 1 pilot times for group 1 winch 1 pilot, Group 3 winch 2 pilot times for group 1 winch 2 pilot. Group 4 winch 1 pilot times for group 2 winch 1 pilot, Group 4 winch 2 pilot times for group 2 winch 2 pilot, and so on.
Sounds confusing? Score cards stay on the score board, so one quick glance shows who is timing for who. We have used this method recently and it works great.

OK girls and boys.
We have a "bet each way" for FSS 2 with a different field each day and a different format too. It's gonna be sorta quite nostalgic to go back to our SCC field for the Saturday as we haven't flown there since the Tangerine 2011 in November.
As Raed said for the Saturday we will fly the same format used previously for Seeded MOM and use the board with the score cards to show where we stand each round and who your timer/caller is. The scoring will be normalized for each group so the best score gets 1000 points plus landing and the landing zones will be the popular 100 point tapes.
We will use winches with retrievers and 3 will be set up for the event allowing two to be in use with one as a spare. Raed has been doing a great job of maintaining the winches and retrievers and they have been working really well.
We are planning something for lunch on Saturday and well let you know what it is before the event. Sunday at the Barr Street field might require a lunch run to Subway and we will decide also on that before the event. Those who haven't flown the Barr Street field will be in for a pleasant surprise as the field is in a public area and we get the added bonus of real live spectators. In fact the spectators we had on Saturday were double bonus as 6 local females in some sort of fitness troup did their jogging on our turf.
So bring your sailplanes and Tx's and cooler of drinks and come fly the first FSS at our club field in 2012 on Saturday March 31st and then join us just a couple of miles away on Sunday April 1st at Barr St for the first ever FSS Soaring event at this field.
Lets start a pilot list with frequencies required.

As a matter of fact, down here the wind does look like it might finally drop a little this coming weekend. If so, it'll give us a last-minute chance to get in some practice for the contest the weekend after.
