Airfield is just Nitro's house name. I thought they retired it when they lost FMS though. I guess not.

Thanks for the links. I got so excited about the P-47, but when I saw the pic of it, the excitement didn't last long.

I am sure it will fly very well like most dynam warbirds do, however the Hun hunter scheme has been done to death, and surely on a four cell setup it could have swung a four bladed prop. The corsair gets away with a three blades prop as they started out with the them, and it looks ok on the airframe, but not on the P-47.

I agree, the Hun Hunter has been overdone, much like all the FW-190's out there. The good news would be that the scheme would be easy to change as Dynam planes are easy to repaint and the stickers are on a separate sheet so you wouldn't have to peel them off. Same goes for the prop as it would be easy to swap.

Scale Machinegun and cnnons

Does anyone make scale machine guns and cannons for the Dynam BF109 and FW190? I'm getting tired of unarmed war birds.
the political correctness has gotten out of hand.

The Bf 109G did not have cannons on the wings, just a cannon throught the spinner and two machine guns on top of the engine, so it doesn't need them in the wings. The FW190, well that is a different issue it definitely needs them. You will probably find that the full scale 190 that the Dynam 190 was modeled off did not have them either, so Dynam probably doesn't know they are missing. The Top RC 190 is the same, no cannons on the wings. Doesn't look right without them.

I agree, the Dynam planes are the easiest to re-paint, that is a good point. Hopefully the P-47 will be a great flyer like the other Dynam Warbirds.

My FW-190 came with armaments. There are machine guns on the battery hatch and cannons in the wings. The cannons in the wings are just black fiberglass tubes that were cut to length and just glue into the wings. It would be easy to add on your own if so inclined. As for machine guns, check out the action figure section at your favorite kids toy store. You would be amazed at all the little guns and accessories they have these days for action figures.

You are correct about the nose and fuselage armament, however, according to research on the BF 109 it was also produced with wing guns in addition to the nose cannon and fuselage guns. One mean flying machine. Think I'll try mounting the armament supplied with the 1400 FW 190 by FMS on the Dynam 1200 Fw190 with some modification and see how they look.

Quite often at our local field. And almost daily on the combat Sim .. in real life not so much

The model is a great flyer... not bad on the ground either compared to some others.

My 190 came with cannon. Well at least 4 pieces of carbon fiber that are supposed to be gun barrels.

If you can show me a Bf 109G with cannons in the wings, I will be very surprised . They did have pods with cannons that were attached under the wings to use against B17s and B24s, but the having cannons IN the wings ended with the 109E.

Anyway back to the Dynam warbirds, I am still hopeful that Dynam will bring out a Typhoon or Tempest. That would be great.

Check out these sites. Appears there were numerous configerations, the last site noted wing mount cannons! If actual wing mount or under wing mount was not specified.
http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/models/...itt-Me109.html, http://militaryhistory.about.com/od/...642spread3.pdf.

Appears the Luftwaffa changed armament with mission requirements.
