Received the two 7s 5800 mah packs I ordered the other day. Weight and size just as advertised. They came well balanced, my PL-8 used less than 3 minutes to put the packs in storage charge.

Chunky 8 awg wires, but no problem to solder on EC-5 connectors, used 100 watt iron. Changed the split balance taps to 8 pin JST-XH plugs, and noticed that the balance leads was of a lesser quality. Stiffer, and changed colour when bended. Not so bad that it's a problem.

It will ba at least a week before I can report back on how they work out in flight, my 32% pilot decathlon is not finished yet.

OK just took delivery of mine....after waiting slightly impatiently for 17 days

First impressions wow they look sweet lipo wrapping is nice and tight, the compactness and weight is far better than the nano's 20g lighter and a few mill's narrower than the nano's

hopefully will put some testing on these this afternoon and get an overall impression of how they perform

I'm using 3S 1800 25C and 4S 1500 25C compacts and so far ........ I'm a convert.

My T45 50mm EDF screams like a wild banshee on the 1500 4S ..... and I get near 4 mins with charge to spare.
Weight is same as my 3S 1800 standard E-Fly pack ... so no need to alter model.

I haven't been using for long - but so far ... very happy. I cannot say same for Nanotechs ! Now they are a waste of money.
If they continue to perform - I shall be changing to compacts in most models so I have either increased cell count or capacity for same weight.

Initial performance is pretty good - lots of power and seems to have duration and maintains kick rightto the last minute or so when you start to notice there isn't as much in the tank as before....

Now as they are brand new and only one charge - it's hard to say....whether they will be good in the long run...but first impressions are they are as good as the nano's and offer good punch for 5-6 mins before you notice the fall off...

Hopefully they will last more cycles than the nano's which have fallen off more than the stock turnigy blues...

Mine arrived today, after a long 3 week wait. Will try them out on my EF 48" EXP birds tomorrow. Threw them onto my charge to put a storage charge in, and 4/5 balanced perfectly within 6 minutes. The 5th took 15, but still balanced.
They arrived weighing 256g, (257g advertised) and weigh 20g less than my 2650 nanotechs. Not too shabby if they perform well!

I used my set of 5800mAh 7s packs for two cycles yesterday. PL8 reports IR between 2.8 and 3.7 pr cell on the second charge. Those numbers don't tell me much, good or bad?

I have nothing to compare against, but I think I'm happy with the packs. I'll probably buy another set. Not many 7s packs on the market, and the price can't be beat, $145 for a 14s 5800 mAh is really good.

Put the figures into here to find out. Temperature you read IR at is important.

Cycles 4 to 6 on my 5800 7s packs yesterday. IR now down to 1.6 - 1.7 on all cells, giving a true 25C battery according jj604's tool.

I'm very happy with the packs, I'm using about 3800-4000 mAh in 8 minutes in a 32% decathlon with a NEU 2215, and power stays very consistent during the flight. Guessing around 90 to 100 A peaks, so I'm not pushing the packs.

Charging with a PL 8 takes between 15 and 16 minutes when two packs are charged in parallell at 40A current.

No disrespect to those who can read and understand IR numbers - but I think I am like most people who cannot and like me really appraise a pack on what it does in the air.

Both my E-Fly 1800 3S and the Zippy Compact 1800 give pretty well same flight performance ... that's speed and run-time .... 50mm EDF. That's just over 6 mins. But of course the compact is slightly smaller and lighter.

I reckon I have about 20 flights on the compacts and still same as day I rec'd them.

The 4S I have ... one gave me a scare when it died a minute into flight ... but all flights after have been fine .. so I put that down to my error in charging.

I am considering ordering few 5s 4000Mah Compact packs. How are your Compacts performing compared to other HK brand packs?

2 flights last weekend on my 10S 4500compacts. My setup pulls 20C constant.
Good power, no complaints, recharges took 2500-2900mah
IR still dropping, all cells avg 2.10mohms, temp 70F

If we were going off 8mOhms per pack divided evenly you would get a true C rating of 32. Or 142 max current draw amps which is awesome

I just started looking into these packs, any more info from those that used them to date? How are they holding up?
