Thanks Ken! Mine doesn't even have it yet! Now I'm trying to find time to get a light version and one more full textreme plane ready for this season's flying... you guys are more important though! My planes can wait

Robust, 55m @ 267grams, lets add 40grams of ballast next time and see if you can reach your 60m goal

Any chance you cold post a PDF file of the logo so I could create a sticker for my plane? Throw in your Armsoar logo as well - it would look good on the opposite wing.

Matt
Sounds like you need to buy some jewelry, flowers and a nice dinner the night before your new toy arrives.

Thanks for the PDF Thomas!

In case any of you are wondering....you can create your own stickers by bringing the file to Office Depot and having them print it with their laser printer on Avery clear label stock. Just give it a light coat of Krylon clear before cutting them out to waterproof them.

I just print them on ink jet paper, cut with an xacto along the egdes, then spray the back with 3m77 and use as a paint mask. Works like a champ.

*another option for those who break out in a rash at Office Depot*

Cool!
I'm going to have to spray a logo on my prototype carbon wing too, a little naked right now!

I'm going to try to get some vinyl stickers printed in the next couple weeks, just need to find a local source that doesn't charge me an arm or a leg (or a plane)

All,

Finally winds came down enough to give an honest perception of the Neos R. It flies wonderfully! I have a bit more tweaking to do with my aileron throws but thats about it. There is really no need to take pictures of the install, seriously this pod is huge! Just glue the servos in! I have about 3/4 of an how in the nose and its about perfect there. ALUW is about 275 grams and it floats really nice. I am amazed by how little it weighs and how well it moves around!

Unfortunately i had a mishap with the battery looks like it only lasted about 10 minutes! Needless to say it took a spiral dive from about 500+ ft right into a baseball field (no one was playing on it luckily) So I'll have to trouble shoot that battery pack and do some repairs. The boom broke, easy, and i have a few delaminations in the wing...thats it! LE of the wing forward is good! The fuse is a tank!

James, that makes me sick to read about the mishap!! ballfields (infield anyways) can be very hard! lucky the damage was limited to what you had! of course i like to think its from the robust built and design features that thomas and gang built into it!!!!

on another note, anybody having any success putting RDS in theirs?

dave
