Joe, here is another potential resource for engine sounds. The sounds are a little more generic and they don't have the engine start sounds, but less money and shipping across the pond looks pretty reasonable.

I don't mean to steal your thread, but it seemed like a good place to put information that people can find if they do a search for engine sounds. I appreciate you starting this thread.

Dave thanks again for the link much appreciated
Use this thread to post any sound systems you can find I think adding sounds to scale electric models will become popular when the units become cheaper

Andrew I tried to contact you on your web site http://www.mrrcsound.com/ about shipping costs to the UK
Can you give me an estimate
The UK import duty may put the cost up but I thought about asking friends who go to the USA on holiday to see if they can get me one

Hmm.... Funny, I did not get a message. I will have to check and make sure the system is working ok. I am sending one to Austrailia today, that should give me a little better idea of overseas shipping. US flat rate is $11.35, but overseas is always more, and slower.

Sure enough, there was a problem with routing. I wonder how many messages I missed out on. Go ahead and try sending another message.

I used the sound card and foam speaker from a mylar balloon in a F 117 pusher. Worked ok , the entire foam plane became the speaker. It just didn't sound scale flying around singing happy birthday.
