Chris,

Your model is looking beautiful! Looks like two cells are the way to go with the small motor. Can you make your controller work with a DT receiver running two cells?

Dave, you guys can post results with the c3blc1 here or in a dedicated thread, I don't care. Maybe post first tries here and when it comes to characterization, we start a new thread to keep the information together. There is no extra thread yet.

Joe do you mean 2p or 2s? 2s wouldn't be very suitable in my eyes. The servos/actuators should run on full supply voltage not on BEC. Also a lot more parts would be reqired to handle 2s I think. 2p is of course the same as 1p.

Since the DT rx can handle up to 10V, I assume there is a BEC LDO on it and it will provide 5V to the servos. You could plug a motor this 5V supply, but then would have big losses due to the voltage drop in the LDO. I am not even sure if this is how the DT rx works, but this is not a good option anyway. I'd say get it layed out for 1S xP.

Ok Chris, I see what you are saying. If I can get the power out of one 20 cell, I will go that way as it will be the same weight as the 2 -10mAh cells.

Yes your assignment is correct. And power supply is single cell lipo (3 .. 4.2V)

Hi Chris,

I will be testing mine with a DT receiver, and I also don't want to mess up the wiring. Is the wire for throttle control connected to the brushless output on the receiver marked Ch1, or should I connect it to the - motor pad which goes right to the FET?

Connect the + and - as shown in Shagrug's photo right? + is red as shown, and black is -?

can the length of all the wires be changed without affecting the cct? I'd be keen to mount mine on the DT board myself to make a brick. Any probs with RF interference any where?

I have mine running but it needs more copper. I've managed to squeeze smoke out of both the motor and the board but they have survived my onslaught so far!
