It shouldn't need to be powered up in my opinion because the gimbal should be natively balanced. So no matter where the gimbal is, it's cg shouldn't change. I don't have an s800, but that's how I've treated it when checking cg on my Trex700 with a front-mounted Zenmuse.

Workaround now is to patch your GH2 to shoot in PAL mode. Then convert as required in your editing package.

However, I'm with you in wanting to not be forced to shoot in PAL.

I could repair the S800 but the zenmuse does not work now.
I send it back to kopterworx for warranty repair.
I hope that DJI will repair it very fast.
The problem is, that I have to make some pictures for somebody and now I do not have a zenmuse.
Kopterworx refused to send me a spare zenmuse.

You do if it crashes because of a manufacturing defect.

Can someone clear this up, is the new boards something DJI is sending out to those who can't shoot in NTSC? is it self install or do we have to return the Zenmuse.... I really am starting to get tired of DJI not testing there products, (S800 numerous problems,WKM GPS error. OSD wouldn't work with other very common cameras, HDMI on zenmuse doesn't work with NTSC, one of the world standards in broadcasting )
Can someone clear this up is this V2 board which should have been Ver 1 being sent out to everyone and is it a simple install or do we have to return the zenmuse to the dealers? For them to fix

just installed the new fw on my z15n. Nice, it switches modes much smoother. So I suppose now I need the v2 board to control video rec on/off from X3? This is what I am understanding so far from earlier in this conversation.

Yes. Now we need a new board... No info on prices or upgrading or anything so far... Just that there is a new board and that you need it to start/stop video... DJI style

Yes, they are testing a protype, seems they used it in one shot of the F1 circuit if I understood correctly.

Awesome, had a armature filmmaker ask if I could do some shooting for him after the new year, said he'll be using a canon 5D. For it being a film I want a good gimbal to get the most stable footage.
