Who flys FPV with an Apprentice?

I'm looking pictures of peoples FPV Apprentice. Im currently building one for FPV and would like to get some ideas on mounting locations (camera, transmitter...etc).

i flew with one and just cut a square out of the top of the wing and wedged a servo with the camera on it. worked well. the cowling looked real and landings, takesoffs, and touch and goes were very fun.

I put my camera rich up front. It's not the most aerobatic airplane, but it is a heck of ALOT of fun with the touch and goes.

I put my go pro up front as well. I cut out a section of the windshield to fit the gopro with velcro. Picture 1 is just before landing & 2 is a view of the gopro sitting on top of the wings. I like it in the windshield my self.

Awesome plane for fpv cruising!!
Ive had the camera infront of the cockpit area and also ive had it underneath where the standard battery would normally go.

I sat the transmitter on the top of the rear fuse just after the cockpit ends, nice and flat and heaps of airflow.

Cant find any pics with the camera ontop but heres a vid.

FPV Apprentice - RCV922 Camera Test (5 min 34 sec)

Good luck!!

Thanks so much for sharing those pics! I mounted my tx exactly where NJFPVER has his. I will also do the same for the battery. My camera hasn't arrived yet but I think I will try the cockpit area first. If the prop gets too annoying in the video, I will try mounting the camera on the belly where chancesAU has his (just scared it will hit the ground from a hard landing...)

Yea underneath isnt the best spot !! :P
The worst thing is crap from the front wheel spraying all over the camera on take-off.

If you get a nice CCD camera the propeller will be much less annoying.

Looks like a good camera for the $. Are you going to have to make your own connections?
