sea fury 480 esc ??

im in a build of this..
4 servos on control surfaces,2 servos for retracts.
motor installed.
question is the esc. i have a 40 amp switch mode,a 40amp with built in bec and seperate 5a bec unit.which one do i use the switch mode or the one with seperate bec.

If you're worried about BEC overload, how about the ESC with bec for the control servos and the standalone bec for the retracts. Retracts have been known to jam slightly if a leg gets 'misaligned', and that could draw a much higher current.

I have set my Spitfire up that way. Just common the negatives, and use the standalone bec positive to the retract servos.
