Li-Po or Li-Ion option for 18650 cells ?

Can someone just confrm something for me. My 18650 batteries are 3.7 Li-Ion but on my charger menu ( Thunder AC680 ) the Li-Ion option only shows 3.6v per cell. I noticed that the Li-Po option shows 3.7v per cell.

1. Can I safley use the Li-Po option for my Li-Ion battery ?
2. Are the charge algorithms (CC/CV) the same between Li-Ion and Li-Po ?
3. Are there any other major differences between Li-Ion and Li-Po with regards charging other than the differences in voltage ?

1. Yes (provided nominal voltage printed on cell is 3.7V)
2. Yes (CC at set current, CV to ~1/10 set current for both)
3. No

older LiIon packs had a lower nominal voltage....
but for the last few years LiIon and LiPo have the same voltage and can be charged the same.....
