if you don't feel like trimming the wood to
make an 85 fit, try the 65 first.

my 65s are old and tired, but I didn't notice any ill effect at first. after 30 or so flights I noticed blowback if I did a full throttle downline into a blender. the plane would just do a wobbly spiral for a few rotations before slowing enough to allow the elevator to deflect all the way and flatten out.

with the 85 she flattens out immediately and violently.

85 is the way to go, just remove the wood equally on both sides, and you wont have a issue if you have a light touch. There's plenty of wood in there..

My Futaba 8FG super&RX's are on there way..Ordered two day UPS Sunday night around midnight, and ill have everything tomorrow. someone at tower is on the ball! Between there promos, and the super saver club, I saved around $190.00, and shipping only cost $9.99..

for the servo opening doc has a good article on it... but in short put the 65 in mark center of control arm... make sure 85 arm will be in the same location as the 65 and cut hole accordingly.

Did the mod on my Edge and it was super easy... I like the dependability of the 85 in the Alaskan cold on my elevator. With the MXS I think they included a option wood adapter for a smaller servo. If you where using a smaller servo it would look better without the wood showing... but still easy enough for the bigger servo too.

I'm flying an HS-65 on the elevator. The blowback is horrible as I can't do a wall even though I have loads of throw. It kinda looks like a wounded duck. I'm hoping the HS-85 fixes this.

It absolutely will.
I had a similar issue but with a cheaper servo on the tail.
The difference was literally night and day when I popped in the 85MG.
