Sig 1/4 scale Spacewalker kit

Up for sale is a Sig Spacewalker kit in 1/4 scale. This 84" wingspan gentle flier is a wonderful airplane to build. Very gentle to fly, power required is a .90-1.20 two stroke, or a 1.20-1.60 four stroke or a DLE 20cc would be great. Kit includes ABS engine cowl, ABS engine with air shrouds, formed wing tips, scale tailwheel, formed landing gear, full size plans, 3 views for scale documentation, and one wing panel has been built. No longer produced, hard to find kit. $200 with free shipping to the lower 48 states. Thanks for looking.

Squared fuse

I wonder how difficult it would be to square the fuse and move the wing to shoulder level. These two modifications would result in a better flying plane. The added weight would be suitable for a DLE 30.

The 1/4 Spacewalker flies just fine, the way it is. Of my 15 flyable models, it is my favorite.

This is a great kit, with excellent instructions. I'd buy it, but I have two Sig Spacewalkers, already.

I'm sure they do fly well, but I think if I were to attempt my precision pattern with it I might have trouble keeping the heading dead on and making straight lines and axial rolls. I know it isn't designed for precision but more for sport. Still, I always like to imagine an airframe capable of neutrality and for example, four point rolls that stay on a thread, instead of ballooning. I wish manufacturers in general would grasp the fuse stretching concept, especially in the 50cc market, where 95% of them are short coupled.
