Hangar 9 Cap 232 ARF :: 1.20 Size :: NIB :: LPU NoVa

***SOLD***

Hello!

Oh, how this pains me to do this...

I have a brand spanking new in the box H9 Cap 232 I (don't) want to sell. It's in perfect condition, never been out of the box except to be oogled. Still wrapped in plastic. I'm just not going to get around to this. My big engines are in other planes, and I just don't see it happening. So, instead of seeing it collect more dust, I've decided to sell.

73" span, 1.20-1.80 4-stroke, 11lbs.

I'm asking $175 local pickup only. Open to reasonable offers. I live in Front Royal, VA, but commute past the Hobby Hangar at 2:30pm almost every day. I'd be happy to meet you there.

This 25% airplane will get you into giant-scale 3D right now, and for ALOT less $$$ than any new ARF. It would be great for one of the new small gas engines.

Thanks for looking,

-Wayne

Before anybody else beats me up about the price, this was a $330 ARF when new (okay, it's still NEW, but I'm not a hobby shop, so I have to sell dirt cheap, right?).

Anyway, Hangar 9 still lists this plane as available on their site for $199.99 for the solid color versions. Great. Okay, but it's not available online. Only at "participating dealers". Like anybody still has one of these ARFs that came out in what? 2008?

Here's the link if you're curious: http://www.hangar-9.com/Products/Sup...ProdID=HAN2020

Anyway, this plane is in perfect condition, and a great price for a 1.20 size 3D plane. It's one of the first true 3D ARF's available, and a lot of guys cut their teeth on them. It could be your low-cost ticket into a big 3D plane.

I have one...still in the box. Paid $200 for it with a brand new 40cc engine that I determined was too big for the plane. Sold the engine for $200...I think that makes the plane free.

Sorry, no shipping. It's too big, and I don't have any boxes this size. It would probably cost less in gas to come pick it up.

Error in phone number

I would love to buy your plane ! Will be glad to pay what is necessary to get the plane to Tennessee. Even if you would pay someone to get it to Nashville I can meet them there. Had a plane just like it that had radio issues and went in at top speed and decanter grated !! My mobile number is 931--384-0282. I'm 10 hours away one way. Surely there is a way we can do business. Please help. Number is correct now

Just a thought on this: if money is no object for shipping then you could just take the box to a FedEx/UPS/PakMail place and have them box it and ship it and you just pass the cost along to the buyer. It looks like there is enough demand to support that approach.

Jtsmith, how much is too much to pay for shipping/crating? I can make a couple phone calls and see about a getting a quote in the next few days, maybe.

Well, you guys talked me into it. I'm going to try to pick up a big box tomorrow on the way home from work and get a shipping quote. I'll let you know as soon as I find out what the charges will be. If its too much, no harm done, no hurt feelings. I'm hoping this isn't too expensive!

Thank you,

-Wayne
