Great news, G!

Just curious -- How did you find out that it shipped?

Good weather, and happy flying.

i struck a problem, it was about to be sent to me when i remembered something, that Mike and myself had forgotten when he asked me if i wanted to do a review. I'm a Mode 2 flyer I live in Australia Aussies use Mode 1
these things can't be bound to your own Tx, you have to use the supplied one and this being Australia was a Mode 1 sample
so that was the end of that Review/Maiden

sorry guys

cheers chuck

Too bad, mate.

Would've been brilliant!

(I'd thought that Mode 1 in Oz is he same as Mode 2 in the northern hemisphere, due to the coriolis effect......like, beer from a tap swirls in the opposite direction down there, right?.....very confusing.....)

I don't mind the radio or the mixes. They make sense. I need a nice no-brainier flyer I can fly with friends that won't crash my nicer planes. I also want something large enough to handle some wind. I average a 10-15mph out here in the Illinois flatlands!

I just picked up the Cessna from Tower Hobbies as my nicer plane. Will be flying it this weekend! The Stratos might be a fun plane for a friend to fly along side me!

This new plane jumped out at me too when I read my recent Electric Flight magazine - looked really cool! Then just now I got an e-mail from Horizon Hobby announcing it's available - couldn't resist! It's on order!

I'm interested in what you guys come up with for a compatable battery. The stock battery at $18.99 is a bit steep.

Also interested in any videos you guys can post when you get your planes flying.

One of my concerns is wind! How well does the Stratos handle wind?
  • Better than a Champ?
  • Better than a UM J-3 Cub
  • Better than a Hobby Zone Super Cub?
  • Better than an Eflite Apprentice?

that looks like a decent price...just curious what is shipping cost...when I ordered the stratos they had extra battery at 9.99 so got that..but extras are always handy if they cheap....As you allmay know I am newbie at rc flying can't wait for the stratos to come in tommorow....out of haste due to the back order of this plane..I bought a mini super cub weeks ago...yet have never taken it up for a maiden...anytime I not working wind seems to high...and hate to crash just cause I want to fly....I know calmer days are coming and will have 2 birds to pratice on and gain some control..

That's a really good price, but the shipping cost might negate the savings.
