Improved Governor

I wonder if I will be able to increase the governor gain with the new firmware.

Has anyone flown the new governor yet?

I just loaded 4.0 Beta firmware on my CC 160HV to try out this weekend.

I'd also like to ask, who has tried out this version of firmware and on which CC HV esc?

I downloaded CastleLinkInstall_3.50.20.exe. Installed by 'run as administrator'. The program runs ok.

Now double clicking "CastleLink" or "CastleLink Graph Viewer C3.50.20" requires administrator privileges to run. This seems a new requirement. Version "CastleLinkInstall_3.41.1" didn't need this.

Why does CastleLink need administrator privileges?

Love the Governor w/4.0 Update!

Today, I made six flights with my Ballistic using the new 4.0 update and WOW, do I totally love the governor now!!!

It even seems like it has more power although I've not changed the head speed.

It was very windy Saturday and I had 1 Hz data rate so the logs were fairly useless. Today the winds are going to be 26 MPH so I won’t be doing any flying. Next good day I will fly with 10 Hz data rate and see how that looks.

I noticed a significant improvement in over/under speeding when doing pullbacks followed by a long fall with an extended pullout. The same is true while doing large stall turn type turnarounds in FAI style passes.

3D flying was also improved because I didn't see as much loading in hard tic-tocks or in multiple heavy extended collective rainbows.

All in all, I must say, Way-to-Go Castle!!!

I'm still running the same gain as before. I haven't tested different gains just yet.

Governor Gain

What gain are you guys running? I only got one flight because of bad weather with my 600 and a gain of 25 but that was too much.

old firmware, about 10 on my 600 (6HV) and 2 on my microheli. 25 sounds insanely high unless you have very weak motor and/or batteries.
