Anyone know where to get Aurora 9 gimbals now?

We are using them for our motion control systems and I need a source for them!

OK, Here's the scoop on the sticks.....

Lynxmotion was bought out by RobotShop., right after I sent my last order for Aurora 9 sticks.
We were contacted by RobotShop to see if we still wanted the parts, and our order is going to be filled by them.
They are on backorder right now.

Here is the web page on their site

I also told them that I would pass this information along as others were interested.
There is another thread on nearly the same line and I will post this info there also.
Hope this helps!

delivery date pushed by one month, from 31 Jan

"...and the expected date is February 28, 2013.

Please note that the date listed above is our best estimate based on the information we have. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that date."

At least they are still trying.

You should be able to buy Futaba 9C gimbal assemblies, but they are not as nice as the Hitec A9 assemblies.

Finally arrived!

The 4 Hitec stick assemblies that we ordered last November from RobotShop arrived yesterday.
We had received a notice every month that it was still on back-order so they were keeping up the communication.
I am just glad that they are here!

I also posted this message in the other thread on this subject.

Aero, do you possibly have any pics of the back of the aurora gimbal?

I see a small white connector with what looke like 5 wires on it and wanting something to fit in to my Walkera tx that uses 2 lots of 3 wires. I'm also wondering about the bolt hole spacing too.

Thanks for the link guys

edit, i see its a six pin header so presumeably has both pots connected to a single header. Could anyone provide the hole spacing please for the 4 outside mounting holes?

Could I suggest to anyone interested in gimbals
the Taranis replacement parts

Taranis gimbals seem to be a copy of the Aurora 9 gimbals
and seem to be much more available

UK 10.79

USA $13.50

Note. Mk1 gimbals had op-amps on the Pots
Mk2. newer gimbals have no amp's and a different Pot
which doesn't need the amp to get full range movement.

I think only the Mk2 gimbals are available now.

Thanks again reflex but they don't take paypal and want bank transfer. Any EU with paypal i'm in, not worth the risk otherwise as I only need one gimbal and will wait for UK stock

There is a company in Germany selling kit parts to convert an existing gimabal into additional stick features. You could e.g. buy the Taranis stick from Aloft or HobbyKing and add these parts yourself http://www.rctechnik.de
The site can be read in english, the knob is the last one in the list.
