DLG Colorado - March 17 - TS Qualifier

We're hosting our next group therapy as a single-day contest on March 17 at the Sod Farm outside Commerce City.

This single-day event will be AMA-sanctioned, and will count as a Team Select Qualifier contest.

Depending on the size of the turnout and weather conditions, we'll have anywhere from 6 to 8 rounds of F3K fun.

There will be no porta-potty facilities or food, so you'll need to bring your own.

Entry fee will be $5.

It's a good opportunity for those lacking in their TS points to perhaps get closer to the TS Qualification.

Please let me know in this thread if you're planning on coming.

Dave (your CD for the day)

PS - I also plan on using AD's F3KMaster program for running the time-keeping for us. It'll be a good opportunity for those that have his program on your Droids to come use it in a real environment. And AD is going to be on-site to help with any issues that arise.

Pilot List
Adrian Dybwad
John Lovins
John Jonke
Jon Padilla
Shawn Curry
Dave Runyon
Brandon Blair
Cory Shantz
Jon LeMon
Ian Purdue
Gary Jensen
Bob Pederson
Dale Terry

Yup, count me in for the next club contest.

As a side note, Adrian Dybwad is a DLG pilot and official member of the Utah Boyz club. He drove to Denver (actually Jonke's DLG Ranch in Parker) from SLC Utah this last weekend to show us the latest developments of the F3K Master program (Android Market App). Adrian is the author, and has done an impressive job of creating this new tool; he has made a Hurclean effort. He is also working with three other DLG guys who are cooperating to expand the capabilities. In the near future, you will see that F3K Master will fully integrate with Oleg's F3K Score (N. Carolina). Additionally, Adam Weston (Seattle) is writing a clock interface so that large outdoor clocks can be included with the automation of the programming (Bruce Davidson has a hand in the clock creation too (Kentucky)). Sam Pendleton (St. George, UT) is building a routine that will allow for realtime information to be sent to a web server. As you can see from the geographical distribution of talent who are working on this, it is going to be a National Hit, very soon.

Some nifty things are happening in the DLG world to make individual practice, and/or contests more dynamic and smooth running. A special thanks to Adrian and these guys for undertaking this feat. We look forward to having Adrian and any other of the Utah Boyz who might want to ride over the Continental Divide to fly with us at the next contest. It will be a fun chance to see the program in action, fly with good friends, AND qualify more pilots for the TS!

Don't be bashful. Whatever your skill level we look forward to having you participate. Grab your trusty hand launch glider and join us on the 17th.

Dang, whats up with you guys!!!!! I am seriously thinking about it! AD is a great travel mate. Does anyone know drive hours from SLC to the field?

Dang, just checked, 8 hours..... Hmm leave home Friday after work, of course I would have eye problems forcing me to leave early, and we could still get home in the not too wee hours of the morning Sunday.

So I'm sayin there's a chance.......

If the weather doesnt look good though I would imagine I wont be coming as there are some pretty crappy stretches of road tween here and there if its snowing.

I need to be home Saturday night, even if its early Sunday morning. Look forward to flippin with the CO crowd.

With any luck we can trick 1 more person into coming with us!
