Gregg

I also glassed mine,i finished the wings (With paint an all) and then took a scalpel
and carefully cut(several times to remove material)into the surface
to get an fine line and then flexed the moving surface back and forth until it was quite loose, but be very careful not to cut into the hinge mat. It`s my first attemt on doing this , im shure there is an better way to to it ,but im satisfied with the result.
Enclosed a pic of it,pleas dont look at the mess in the background

Hi all,
terjes advice is ok, but you have to be very careful!
I suggest (also in the instructions) to cut the line first and then score with the back of a cutter and then continue with a triangular needle file only.

ref. LEs: I used a 2mm carbon rod instead of balsa and filler along the whole LE.

Phew, nearly finished the RG instructions in german, more pics than in the main manual, compared.
Into english will be completed by the end of the week.

Cheers and thanks to all, THE list has grown to 7.

Ralf,
I was just over at Gregg's looking at your handy work. All I can say is Wow, this is the best glass work and tooling I've ever seen. First rate! As hard as I looked I never found a flaw. I can only hope to do as well some day. If I had the funds right now, I'd be sending them to you. Soon.

No, thank you for the inspiration!

I'm growing tired of doing foam and wood jets these days. Having plenty of moulding experience in the film biz I'm sure I can adapt to epoxy glass procedure.

My next project will be for glass once I figure out what bird. I want to do something simple for my first one so I'll better better prepared for that 104 down the road. Seeing your work really gets me going.

Hi all, sorry, but you will have to do this, too. But it will be easier because there is no spar in the way and the cable tubes are installed.

gregg, wait with gluing until you have your spring airs and the new CD-ROM, it should be in the US by now.

cheers, RD
