It is a model of the Bat from Windermere Steamboat Museum. Think it was built by a Mr. Townsend, but could be wrong.

I had to go to the attic for a magazine, and back down to scan it.

I think it is closed for the winter right now. Can't blame them.

It's worse. They are closed for renovation:

I was in the Lake District 2 years ago and the museum had closed down for renovation then. A major disappointment for me and I do not think it has ever reopened due to lack of funds.

I have made a set of laser cut frames for the Steam Launch Bat at 48" length over all.

See my web site at www.angelfire.com/fl4/mft where I offer the set for $100 plus shipping.

I am also interested in doing the frames for the Truscott Fantail Launch for steam power
modelers.

And, I have had an inquiry for the Number Boat 22 sized for a steam powered model.

I do frames and parts for any boat that you can supply plans for.

Hi Reg
Still closed don't know if it will ever re open.
I will be in the Lake district in 3 - weeks time and will inquire what's happening, it's a pity that it's closed as it was well worth a steam enthusiasts visit.

Hi Milton,
Came across this RC Croup website were you advertised laser cut frames for the Windermere Steam Launch Bat at 48" length over all.
Are they still available and what are the charges to ship to Perth in W.A.?
Do you have any other information to go with this such as photos and layout drawings?
Please email quote / info to [email protected]

Cheers
Frank

Thanks Bernhard,
Have tried that already - he is not prepared to part with his plans as he sells his boats.
Also contacted Windermere but they are busy getting the museum up and running for next summer.
And Milton's e-mail just bounces...
Is he still a member of the forum?
Cheers
