My Upgraded and Modified CX2
Motors: Brushless Outrunner Turnigy 1811-2900
ESCs: Turnigy Plush-10Amp
Rx: Orange 6ch DSM2
Tx: Stock LP5DSM
Gyro/Mixer: Asan GA250 Gyro modified and reprogramed
Swash plate and blade holders are from an Esky Lama 2/3
Blades: Phase II Acro CF
Fly Bar: Boomtown Hobbies 6.75"
Tail Boom: Boomtown Hobbies
Landing skids: Micro Heli from Boomtown Hobbies
Battery Holder: A cut to fit credit card using rubber bands to hold the battery
Canopy: CanoMod fiberglass TREX 250
Battery: A 3 cell Thunderpower 910 mah
Stock CX2 parts: Frame, servos, inner and outer shafts, main gears and motor pinion gears
What I feel describes this most is "Stability and Precision".
These two features make it very docile and easy to control for indoor flying particularly in small tight spaces which contain lots of obstacles that must be avoided. It will now fly where before I could only fly an E-flite MCX.
Outside flying is also a joy. Using an 11.1V battery it has the power and stability to handle a breeze easily without being bounced around and blown into a tree.
Another feature a like is its more scale like flight.
As for speed, I cannot comment as to how fast it can go only to say fast enough for me which is faster than the stock setup.
